What to wear when skydiving in Virginia

One of the questions we hear all the time is "What should I wear when coming to skydive?" This of course all depends on the time of year you come to jump. Usually by March, Spring has arrived and we are skydiving every day. I always tell customers to just wear what the day calls for. You can wear jeans and a T-shirt, or a sweatshirt if its a little colder. The one item we want you to bring is some tennis shoes. Nothing with heels or boot laces. Just simple sneakers or tennis shoes. We will give you a jumpsuit to put over your clothes. This jumpsuit does a couple of things. It makes your body more aerodynamic for free fall and you fall more smoothly thru the sky. Jumpsuits also help keep everything in place. Skydiving Sunsets in Virginia

My favorite time of the year to jump is the Fall Season. The months of September, October, and November the sky is so clear without any Summer Haze and thunderstorms to worry about. You are able to see miles in every direction. Because of the nice weather, Fall is generally a busier time of year for us. I have jumped all over the world, and I can tell you that skydiving in Virginia over the York River is one of the most beautiful places to skydive. Even better then a regular skydive is our Sunset Skydive. They do cost a little more, but they are worth it if you are only making one jump in your life. To be in free-fall as the sun is setting over the river is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
