Skydive for your Birthday!

People decide to jump from a perfectly good airplane for many reasons. I always ask people what made them decide to make the big plunge so to speak. By far the number one answer is their Birthday. There is no better way to celebrate their special day then have an awesome adventure at No Limits Skydiving. This week a young lady came alone for her Tandem Skydive at our West Point location. She said it was for her 40th birthday and she wanted to celebrate her one year of cancer free along with turning a major milestone age. She explained that she has had a rough few years and that the disease of cancer made her open her eyes to making the most of life. Skydiving in Richmond VA

No Limits Skydiving does many skydiving demo shows and one of our favorite is to jump into the Flying Squirrels Baseball Games. The Squirrels are Richmond Virginia's Double A Baseball Team. On July 4th, staff members of No Limits Skydiving brought in the game ball along with the American Flag to start the game. The owner of No Limits Skydiving lives in Richmond, VA so its always a special treat to make a jump over the city. Nothing beats being in free fall and being able to see your house. We have also performed a skydiving show for the Redskins Training Camp opening day. Their training camp is located right in the center of the city near the Children's Museum. When we skydived into the event, we were able to meet Redskins Hall of Fame member Joe Theisman. No Limits Skydiving would like to welcome our NEW tandem Instructor Jeff Wiley. He has been working for our company for 4 years and has been skydiving since he stated working for us. He has passed all his courses and is now a United States Parachute Association Certified Tandem Instructor. We would like to welcome him into the unique club that is professional skydiving. Our head instructor is Mark Wilson with over 12,000 jumps. He is also the head of our demo team which will be performing at the NASCAR Race at Dover DE in June. Mark will be flying the American Flag at the start of the race. We only hires FULL times skydivers. Most skydiving drop zones in Virginia will use part time instructors. People with week day professions that only come to skydive on weekends to earn extra money. Our company does not use part time staff. This is our profession, our passion, and the only type…

Skydiving Demo in Richmond VA

Spring Time has arrived and with spring the start of Baseball Season is upon us. Richmond VA has a Double A Baseball Team called the Flying Squirrels. Nothing is more American than baseball, and the Richmond Flying Squirrels is a big hit in Virginia's capitol city. No Limits Skydiving has been hired by this team to help kick off opening night. After the final out of the 9th inning No Limits Skydiving will be skydiving into the field with the American Flag right before the fire works show. Richmond Flying Squirrels always start their season with a end of the game fire works show for their fans. This year No Limits Skydiving staff members will add a little more excitement to the show with a skydiving demo. Indoor Skydiving, the new Tandem Skydive?

The modern industry of indoor skydiving is sweeping the nation. Vertical wind tunnels have enabled us to simulate skydiving without having to jump from a plane. Skydivers understand the idea because of the close relation to the sport. However to most of the population, the concept of flying your body in a wind tunnel is foreign. How does indoor skydiving compare to jumping out of an airplane? Simply stated, indoor skydiving is simulating the freefall portion of a skydive. Participants learn to fly their bodies on a column of air which is synthetically produced inside a confined area. There are a number of similarities and differences between traditional skydiving and indoor skydiving. Similarities “Does it feel like the real skydiving?” This question is often asked when people new to skydiving inquire about indoor skydiving.
