One of the questions we hear all the time is “What should I wear when coming to skydive?” This of course all depends on the time of year you come to jump. Usually by March, Spring has arrived and we are skydiving every day.
I always tell customers to just wear what the day calls for. You can wear jeans and a T-shirt, or a sweatshirt if its a little colder. The one item we want you to bring is some tennis shoes. Nothing with heels or boot laces. Just simple sneakers or tennis shoes. We will give you a jumpsuit to put over your clothes. This jumpsuit does a couple of things. It makes your body more aerodynamic for free fall and you fall more smoothly thru the sky. Jumpsuits also help keep everything in place. What we mean by that is we will be free falling about 120 MPH, and if you are not wearing a proper shirt the wind will pull your shirt up. This will mess your video up, and also your modesty. Last but not least, our jumpsuits make you look like you are in the movie “Top Gun”!
What’s the point of jumping from a airplane if you don’t look awesome while doing it? Many skydiving places don’t offer jumpsuits for their customers. They don’t do this because to provide jumpsuits costs them more money. We feel if you are going to make one skydive in your lifetime, then you should look as cool as possible when doing it. Of course, jumpsuits are not mandatory when skydiving with us, but we do offer it to everyone at no additional charge – especially if you are purchasing a video of your Tandem Skydive.
