The running of the Strawberry Hill Races has been taking place for 80 years in Virginia. It is a annual event that signals Spring time is here in Virginia and draws a large crowd of around 60,000 people. The tailgating and horse races make for a great mix and it has always been a favorite way to start the season.
The Strawberry Hill Races takes place at Colonial Downs Race Track in New Kent, VA. The date of this years event is June 2nd with a post time for the first race at 12:00 noon. The staff members have been a part of the opening ceremonies of the races for years. We have been bringing in the American Flag at the start of the National Anthem and landing at the start/finish line to help kick off the races.
This year No Limits Skydiving will be a part of new tradition at the races. Colonial Downs will be holding a contest where one lucky winner will get the opportunity to skydive into the races with us on a Tandem Skydive. The contest is being held on the Facebook Page of Colonial Downs. Enter the chance to make a Tandem Skydive with No Limits Skydiving into the start of the races with the Starting Flag. Most skydivers will jump their whole life and never have the chance to perform in front of a crowd of this size. I have skydived all over the country, NY, DE, IL, CA, GA, KY. There is no better place than to make your first skydive in Virginia or North Carolina. We have two locations in VA, both of them a short drive to major cities. Our Victoria location is close to Richmond, Roanoke, Charlottesville, and Lynchburg, Virginia. We are also close to Raleigh, Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
I grew up in Virginia but have lived and traveled all over the country. When I was looking where to open my business I chose Virginia for a lot of reasons. I hope I have created a great place for students and family, to enjoy what I think is, the greatest adventure you can have. You can bring your whole family and friends to watch your skydive. We have big screen TV that you can watch the video of your skydive after the jump. Our place has a student lounge that has air conditioner and heat, depending on the season. I have designed the whole school to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Couches, pool tables, and even a camp ground for students to camp out the night before if they would like. The campground has a bonfire pit and is free for students.
When you land, your friends can be right there. Once they see you jump they are going to want to go. Ha ha. I have been skydiving for a long time and have over 7,000 skydives. Even after all this time I remember my first jump and how special it is. I have hired the best instructors. All of them ex-military, and I'm involved with everyone's skydive to make sure your experience is one you will never forget.

The weather is perfect now. I jumped this week for the first time without gloves, spring time is here!!! "No Limits Skydiving" is open 7 days a week with 2 locations in Virginia. Both locations are members of the United States Parachute Association (USPA), with the West Point school close to Virginia Beach, Washington DC and Richmond, VA.
The location in Victoria, is close to Richmond, Charlottesville, and Roanoke, VA. The Victoria school also has free camping for people skydiving and a bonfire pit to complete the scene.
There is no better way to welcome Spring Time then coming to skydive with a U.S.P.A certified instructor. The freefall is between 45 and 60 seconds with a 5 min parachute ride. I'm not sure what part I like the best, the freefall is exciting with the parachute ride down very very peaceful. The Fall time when the leaves change colors a lot of skydivers pull high to have more time to look around under canopy. You can see Lake Gaston to the south and the Mountains to the west.
The West Point School is located right next to the river so most of the time we are in freefall right over the Yorktown River. Makes for a great view for sunset skydives.

On Christmas eve of this year we took a couple from Dinwiddie VA. skydiving for their 10th wedding anniversary. The couple made their Tandem Skydive at our Victoria Location. "No Limits Skydiving" will be opening a second location at West Point VA starting the first of next year. We will have two locations that we will be skydiving at. The school at Victoria VA that is close to the cities of Richmond, Raleigh, and Roanoke and the new dropzone at West Point will be close to the cities of Richmond, Williamsburg, and Newport News.
When looking to make your skydive choose either one of our two locations. Both will have something special for the customers. The one in Victoria will have an amazing view during the fall while our school in West Point will have a great view of 3 rivers. Victoria will have on site camping while both school will be open 7 days a week.
We are so excited to be growing as a company and to be offering people a safe, fun and enjoyable place to enjoy their next adventures.

Summer is here and along with that is the heat. One sure fire way off cooling off is to be 12,000 feet above the earth getting ready to jump from an airplane!!
The temp is about 2 degrees cooler every thousand feet up, so on a warm summer day it really feels good to be in freefall and under parachute.
While waiting for your skydive we have an airconditioned lounge where you can fill out your paperwork, watch your video's and eat the free popsickle we give all our customers. We are the only Skydiving School in VA or NC that allows camping right on site. There is a bonfire pit located right beside the hanger where students can camp out for free.
It makes for a great weekend, camping under the stars one night, wake up the next day and have a great adventure by jumping from a plane!!

We have skydiving a lot this Spring. I'm still not sure what time of year I like to jump the most but Spring time is an excellent time to skydive.
Everything is so green, it looks like Ireland in freefall. The Fall has amazing colors and that crisp feel. In the Summertime we almost always have a bonfire after skydiving on Saturdays.
Whatever season you decide to take the plunge I'm sure you will love it!! Whether Tandem Skydiving or making your first AFF skydiving jump is a great thrill and you will never forget your first jump.
