Rocky MT don’t have a skydiving center but you can’t still leap from a perfectly good airplane. It’ll be a little bit of a road trip but not too far. When you get to the drop zone you’ll have the skydive you’ll never forget. Call the reservation number to schedule a tandem skydive. It’s easy to get to the drop zone. The short version of the directions is I-85 North to VA-138 to VA-40. It’s that simple.

Here’s some facts about Rocky Mount NC. The city got it start in the early of the 19th century. The city center was the first post office which was established at the Falls of the Tar River on March 1816. It was at that point that the name Rocky Mount appeared in documented history. The name undoubtedly derived from the rocky mound at the falls of the Tar River, which was also the site of one of the first cotton mills in North Carolina. The mill was called Rocky Mount Mills and was established in 1818. The Wilmington-Weldon Railroad was built about 2 miles east of the mill in 1845. The rail road became the main connection for Rocky Mount the rest of the country.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 35.8 square miles, of which, 35.6 square miles of it is land and 0.2 square miles of it (0.59%) is water.
