Message to Dad:
Hey Dad, are you ready to fly? You’re about to skydive! Here’s the lowdown: After you get to the drop zone, you’ll be trained by a USPA licensed instructor. After you have learned what you need to know, we’ll give you a jumpsuit. Next we’ll help you put on a tandem parachute harness. After you’re dressed, you’ll board the plane and fly to jump altitude. Just before we start jump run, your instructor will connect the two of you together. They’ll do one final safety check and the plane door will open. You’ll move to the door and jump out of the plane. You’ll freefall for nearly a minute at 120 MPH before deploying the parachute. You’ll glide to the ground after a 4 minute parachute ride.
Most people get a video of their jump so they will be able to relive their experience again and again in the future. If you do, your videographer will jump with you and take video footage and still pictures. When you land, they’ll be there to catch the smile on your face.
